Cen-Tex Sting Joins the WISL


Austin, Texas August 2010 – Cen-Tex Soccer Training is pleased to announce that they will be fielding a team, Cen-Tex Sting, for the upcoming WISL 2010 season.  The WISL is a women’s semi-professional indoor soccer league that will begin their third season of competition this August and is comprised of teams from Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

The Sting will be coached by Cen-Tex Soccer’s Director of Training, Aaron Metzger and assistant coach James Crowder.  “We are very excited to be part of the WISL and we look forward to helping continue grow Women’s Soccer in Central Texas.  We feel like we have a great group of young women who are looking to continue their playing careers after college and club in a highly competitive environment” says Metzger.

Cen-Tex Sting will play their home games at the Austin Indoor Soccer Center on Royston Lane in Pflugerville, TX and will train at the Cen-Tex Soccer Training Center in Austin. The Sting will play their inaugural game on Sunday, August 29th at the Austin Indoor Soccer Center v FC Austin, game time is 1:15 pm.  Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for kids 13 and under. Kids wear your team jersey and pay just $1.00.  Tickets can be purchased game day at the door or at Cen-Tex Soccer Training.
